Abstract

Establishing and maintaining hemodialysis access is a cornerstone of long term renal replace‐ ment therapy. As hemodialysis techniques have improved sufficiently to allow the survival of patients as long as dialysis access can be maintained so it is justified to say that vascular access is an access to life [1].
