Abstract

In present review in depth discussion have been taken up to analyze the problem, possible sources of heavy metals contaminations, risks of human health –animal health-crop and soil health. Special attentions are being taken up in discussing about the cultivation of cereal crops, the nature of uptake, transportation, remobilization and accumulation in food grains. Genomic aspects are also being spelt to some extent how they affect gene and the regulation of genes. In cereals tolerances of heavy metals mechanisms and evaluation of tolerance varieties are mentioned.
