Abstract

The article examines the financial literacy program included in the curriculum of DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. Topics discussed include reasons behind the university's decision to formulate a financial literacy program, challenges encountered by college students in dealing with student loans and other finance-related concerns and consequences of students not being educated on financial literacy. Also discussed are the features of DePaul's financial literacy curriculum.
