Abstract

Since 1999, the series of problems impacting on the Côte d'Ivoire has led to many citizens of Burkina Faso returning to their country of origin. What is this return like? How well prepared and controlled was the operation by the Burkina Faso authorities? How well are returning migrants reintegrated? These are issues this article seeks to address starting from work done in the field in Abidjan and Ouagadougou.
