Relationship between discomfort glare and electroencephalography during working in front of a window

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to clarify the relationship between unpleasant glare in office workers and brain responce. In two experiments with different window brightness ranges, subjects performed a task in front of a pseudo window. On the experiments, EEG, GSV and subjective evaluations of a subject were measured. As a result, the GSV value was lower and the brain activity tended to be higher in the experiment with a higher luminance range than in the experiment with a lower luminance range.
