Innovative Digital Leadership in Education: Strategies for 21st Century Transformation

Abstract

This research focuses on digital leadership models in educational institutions, specifically The Study Point, an online mathematics learning hub in Sri Lanka. Employing the case study method, the study delves into the best digital forms of leadership and considers how new technologies redefine educational paradigms for post-pandemic scenarios. Research indicates the need for multiple dimensions of digital transformation to involve transformational and distributed forms of leadership, strategic technology integration, and ongoing professional development. From the analysis, it is evident how digital transformation fundamentally transforms the roles of educators from being knowledge deliverers to being facilitators to learn. The suggested three-stage digital leadership framework provides an ordered roadmap for teaching institutions to embark on technology-rich learning environments. Ethical factors such as privacy of the data, fairness of algorithms, and computer accessibility are touched upon to ensure that transformation supports and does not compromise educational equity.
