Abstract
In their note in this issue of the journal, Dranove and Shanley critique our use of a 15 mile radius measure in various papers and propose an alternative. While we believe their critique is based on a misunderstanding of our work, their suggestion provides the opportunity for us to discuss how such market measures might be developed. © 1990.
