Abstract

Recording NMR signals of several nuclear species simultaneously by using parallel receivers provides more information from a single measurement and at the same time increases the overall NMR sensitivity per unit time. Here, we highlight the benefits of the multi-receiver NMR technology by presenting a comprehensive series of the most frequently used NMR experiments modified for simultaneous acquisition of one- and two-dimensional spectra with direct detection of two of the most sensitive NMR nuclei - 1H and 19F. These experiments are categorized into three groups, and extensive examples within each group are provided. The efficiency of the parallel experiments is further increased by combing multi-receiver acquisition with other fast techniques aimed at increasing the throughput in routine NMR analysis. We hope that the presented material will stimulate interest in and further development of this technique.
