Abstract

This work tackles the problem of cross-cultural crash in Spanish-speaking educational environments, revising current theories about cross-cultural communication and proposing an assimilation of the analysis methods of the intracultural and cross-cultural failed encounters. In addition to this, this work puts into practice this theoretical proposal in an analysis of the reality of Spanish language teachers training, identifying the elements that give rise to the convergence of cultural systems that foster conflicts and the dynamic environments where these misunderstandings arise. As a consequence, it is proposed to integrate the complexity of the cultures of Spanish language into the teaching practice.
