Abstract

The article focuses on reactions to and topics of a speech given by Lee Rainie, Director of the Pew Internet & American Life Project, at the 2013 Reference and User Services Association (RUSA) President's Program at the Annual Meeting of the American Library Association held in Chicago, Illinois on June 29, 2013. Topics include the impact of the technology revolution on patron expectations of libraries, demographic groups that visit libraries most, and the reasons why patrons visit libraries.
