Abstract

As wolf Canis lupus densities declined coyotes C. latrans increased. Seven known or suspected wolf-killed coyotes were examined. Wolves killed but did not consume coyotes. Coyote survival along wolf territory edges was greatest at moderate wolf densities. -from Author
