Abstract

Fuel cells, in theory, offer the ultimate in 'green' energy production: an efficient, quiet and non-polluting power source. Though the technology behind them has existed for over 150 years, it is only now, as greenhouse gas emissions threaten the very future of our ecosystem, that they are emerging as a viable energy source for the future.
