Abstract
DNA analysis often requires a separation step; this step is avoided if surface-enhanced resonance Raman scattering (SERRS) is used. SERRS is shown to differentiate between two labeled oligonucleotide strands, in varying proportions, in a mixture, and at low concentration levels. The method is discriminatory, sensitive, and requires only commonly available equipment.
