Abstract
Pioneer of cognitive dissonance theory, Leon Festinger, proposed that inconsistencies between beliefs and actions can lead to psychological discomfort. In the context of Christian religious education in the era of Artificial Intelligence (AI), cognitive dissonance may arise when modern technology conflicts with traditional values. This study aims to explore how artificial intelligence affects cognitive dissonance in Christian religious education and to identify strategies to address these challenges. Using a descriptive qualitative method with a literature review approach, the research analyzes various academic sources and literature related to the interaction between AI technology and Christian religious education. The findings indicate that artificial intelligence can exacerbate cognitive dissonance if not carefully considered in the context of religious values, but also offers opportunities for designing more harmonious solutions. The discussion focuses on developing educational models that ethically integrate AI technology with Christian principles. In conclusion, the application of AI in Christian religious education must consider psychological aspects and core values to reduce cognitive dissonance and enhance learning effectiveness.
