Abstract

The aim of this paper is to analyse the implementation of practical legal education in traditional universities in the Argentine context. In order to do so, I will build on a case study centered on the «Professional Practice» of the School of Law of the Universidad de Buenos Aires. This is an obligatory instance of practical training that should be taken by law students during their last year of the undergraduate program, in which they attend to a free legal aid service. I will get to the conclusion that, although good aspects must be highlighted, there are still a lot of matters to deal with. Connecting this issues with the legal educational paradigm in which they are inserted, I will propose some suggestions for the development of the better model.
