Abstract

Sartre remains the major figure of the engaged (opened) intellectual. He always considered that it is of the duty of the philosopher to take part in the history. One often blames him today for having made a mistake a lot but for judging the events afterward is a simpler position and especially more comfortable than when one is the immediate contemporary. Let us recognize has Sartre of resources had the courage to take risks with a sincerity without defect always while remaining faithful to its philosophy of the freedom.
