Abstract
A discussion is presented of the various hydrogen production processes such as: coke to water gas; steam-iron process; steam methane reforming; steam naphtha reforming; and, water electrolysis. Process improvements are also outlined. Feedstock selection is examined along with natural gas steam reforming; CO conversion; autothermal reforming; partial oxidation of heavy oils; coal gasification, and the electrolytic process for hydrogen production.
