Abstract

After analyzing the starting operation of experienced drivers, a fuzzy control strategy which can reflect the drivers' starting intention is put forward. Focused on the problem that ordinary fuzzy controller design is mixed with a lot of subjective factors and the fuzzy controller is difficult to optimize, Genetic Algorithm is applied to optimize the parameters of fuzzy membership functions of the starting fuzzy controller. Simultaneously, a simulation model for starting is established using Simulink. Road tests are implemented by using the optimized fuzzy controller, which has been proved effective.
