Abstract

To determine the effect of biostimulants on fruit quality of pomegranate, a field experiment was conducted in experimental orchard of the Department of Fruit Science, Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, Solan, H.P. The experiment consisted of 19 treatmentswith three replications. The pomegranate trees cv. Kandhari Kabuli under investigation were subjected to foliar spray of biostimulants viz. Vipul, Spic Cytozyme, Homobrassinolides, Biozyme Crop Plus, Vipul +Homobrassinolides and control. The results revealed that the highest total sugars, reducing sugars, sugar acid ratio, juice content, fruit rind: rag: aril ratio, and minimum rag percentage, non-reducing sugars and titratable acidity were recorded in trees treated with Spic Cytozyme (4 ml/l). The highest TSS was observed with the application of Vipul 15ml/l. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
