Abstract

Every child and teenager has the right to undergo a period of good and healthy growth. This includes Anak Didik Pemasyarakatan (Andikpas) who are in Lembaga Pembinaan Khusus Anak (LPKA). “Andikpas” is a special term given to juveniles who commit crimes. This study focuses on knowing the experience of "Andikpas" in getting health services, the motives and meaning of health services in LPKA. The research was conducted with a qualitative approach, phenomenological methods and conducted interviews with four "Andikpas". The results of the study found that there were "Andikpas" who reported to officers and friends if they were sick. However, there was “Andikpas” who refrained from conveying the pain. “Andikpas” tried to hide the pain and obstacles they face. The motives that encourage "Andikpas" to get health services are the self-healing motive which is included in the in order to motives and the obedience motive which is related to the because motives. The meaning of health services is also interpreted by "Andikpas" as a facility provided by LPKA with aim that "Andikpas" can carry out coaching activities properly.
