Abstract

The use of the azine dye Lissamine Blue BF (I) and the oxazine dyes Brilliant Cresyl Blue, Capri Blue, Solochrome Prune AS, Gallamine Blue, Celestine Blue, Meldola's Blue, and Resazurine as indicators in the redox titrimetric detn. of Sb(III) with Ce(SO4)2 soln. with HCl and H2SO4 media was studied. The range of acid concn. and color change at the end point are given. Of all the indicators, I was the only one which can be used for reverse titrn. of Ce(SO4)2 with Sb(III) soln. The transition potentials of the indicators in HCl medium were detd.
