Abstract
Introduction. Determine the bacteriological profile of urinary infection during pregnancy in our midst. Patients and methods. This descriptive and cross-sectional study was conducted at the maternity Bonzola from 13 March to 31 May 2015. Prevalence and bacterial susceptibility parameters were studied using the software Epi Atlanta7.1.1.14 (CDC, USA, 2013). L'association be- tween parameters studied was made using the chi square test and Pearson failing Yates corrected and the difference was considered significant for p <0.05. Results. The prevalence of urinary tract infection during pregnancy was 66.36% with a predominance of cystitis (43.66%) followed by asymp- tomatic bacteriuria (36.62%). Escherichia coli (53.5%) and Staphylococcus (30.98%) alone or in combination with Candida albicans were the main isolates proved very resistant to penicillins and certain third generation cephalosporins (Cefotaxine). Conclusion. The frequency of urinary tract infection during pregnancy that remains the highest in our midst and bacterial epidemiology re- mains dominanated by enterobactereriaceae. Antibiotic resistance is high especialy for penicillin G and cephalosporins of the third generation.
