Abstract

The development of specific principles of interpretation of human rights is a major feature of the contemporary constitutionalism. The “interpretation in conformity with human rights” is one of these principles. This paper aims at analyzing the incorporation of this principle by the Chilean Supreme Court. We argue that the Supreme Court is increasingly using this principle in order to enhance the protection of human rights.
