Abstract

Epidermodysplasia verruciformis is rare genodermatosis, which is found since early childhood as plane warts-like and/or pitiriasis versi-color-like lesions, which later can develop cutaneous malignant neoplasm. The disease has been related to human papillomavirus infection and ultraviolet radiation, both appear to be the most important causative factor, nevertheless they are not the unique factors. The most frequently found cutaneous carcinomas are squamous cell carcinoma, Bowen's disease, followed by basal cell carcinomas. There is no way to avoid or prevent the arising of new tumours or control the benign lesions for appearing.
