Abstract
Tamarillo fruits showing anthracnose disease were observed in Brazil. Two single-spore isolates were obtained and identified as Colletotrichum karsti using DNA sequencing and morphological characteristics. The pathogenicity of the isolates was confirmed by inoculating healthy tamarillo fruits. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report of C. karsti causing fruit anthracnose on tamarillo in Brazil.
