Publicações na área de catálise envolvendo instituições brasileiras: uma comparação entre os periódicos especializados e os da SBQ

Abstract

In this article it is made a preliminary analysis of the number and impact of Brazilian publications in the area of catalysis between 2004 and 2006 in major specialized international journals as well as in the SBQ publications, i.e. Journal of Brazilian Chemical Society (JBCS) and “Química Nova” (QN). A “Specific Impact Factor” (SIF) has been defined, which reflects the average number of citations of the papers involving catalysis in these journals. The SIF of JBCS papers in catalysis is increasing significantly in the last years, reaching even higher values than Brazilian papers in foreigner journals. The papers published in QN involving catalysis also have shown an important increase in their SFI over the last years.
