Abstract

The objective of the present work is to study some discursive-textual aspects of Nicanor Parra's poetry from the "ecocriticism" point of view. This approach explores the vision about nature in literary work which shows concern in denouncing or visualizing, in an ethical way, the relationship of man with their natural surrounding, their place, their 'oikos'. It is claimed that the "antipoet" shows an ecologist turn in his literary production when publishing the text Poesía política (1983), book in which Parra comes near to the postulates of the "deep ecology", through the denominated "Ecopoemas". In summary, the exposition of this investigation locates Parra's poetry as a challenge of the political, economic, social, philosophical, religious and cultural systems of the Western society, showing in this way the incompatibility of these with the conservation of the planet.
