Abstract
This latest work by the scholar of the apostle Paul, Douglas Campbell, presents a comprehensive account of Paul's thought and practice that also engages contemporary questions in Western Christianity. Campbell relies throughout on Paul's ten-letter canon (excluding, ie, the Pastorals), a decision defended in his earlier I Framing Paul i (Eerdmans, 2014) - although not on any of the rest of the Bible, on which more below. Neither Paul nor John nor Luke is anything, to paraphrase Paul himself, only Jesus Christ whose servants they are (cf. 1 Cor 3:5-7). [Extracted from the article]
