Abstract
Tourism in Indonesia plays a vital role as a main pillar of the economy, driving revenues across multiple sectors. This article discusses the Surabaya Mangrove Botanical Garden as a sustainable tourism destination that integrates environmental conservation with education. With increasing internet penetration, digital tourism has become a vital tool in promoting tourism products through social media, which is effective in attracting visitors to lesser-known locations. The Mangrove Botanical Garden not only offers natural beauty, but also serves as an educational and research area for mangrove ecosystems. Through engaging digital content, visitors are invited to understand the importance of environmental conservation and participate in conservation programs, such as mangrove planting. Community involvement in these activities contributes to local economic well-being and raises collective awareness of the importance of sustainability. By utilizing social media platforms, the Surabaya Mangrove Botanical Garden is expected to be an example of sustainable tourism implementation in Indonesia, inspiring other destinations to adopt similar principles. This approach not only supports environmental conservation but also sustainable local economic growth.
