AbstractThe purpose of this research is to describe the implementation and evaluation of active learning The purpose of this study is to implement and describe the planning of the implementation and outcomes of creative writing poetry with the whole language approach and three-dimensional media class VII SMP 6 Nanga Pinoh. This research method is descriptive qualitative research design class action (PTK). This study was conducted in three cycles, each cycle conducted 2 meetings. The results of this study include: planning in cycle 1 including good enough category reached 77.6% in the second cycle increased by 20% to reach 97.6% are very good, while the third cycle increased by 2.4% to reach 100% with very good category. While the results of the implementation of the first cycle of 71.61% are good enough. In tshe second cycle increased by 18.07% to 89.68% very good category. In the third cycle increased by 9.03% with very good categories and almost close to perfect. For the results of creative writing poetry with the whole language approach and three dimensional media was successful, with the result of the average value in the first cycle of 65.33 with 29.62% completeness study (8), the second cycle of the average value increased to 78.81 and mastery learning rose by 48.16% to 77.78%, and the third cycle the average value becomes 86.37 with an increase mastery learning which is 14.81% to 92.59% (25 people), including the category of very good (SB).
