Abstract
The study aims to evaluate the initial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the economic-financial situation of families in Cali, Colombia through a multinomial Logit model. The data comes from a direct investigation through the application of a survey. The results revealed that there is an economic-financial vulnerability of these families to the pandemic. Men with an average age of 36 years who present levels of education higher than professional can resist the financial impact. As the age of men increases, the negative financial impact grows stronger.
