Abstract

Agricultural engineering is a discipline that applies science and technology principles and techniques in food production, crop protection, and natural resource management. Although it requires a lot of mathematics knowledge to make decisions and solve problems efficiently, integrating mathematical models with fundamental elementary functions is a beneficial and essential technique for solving complex problems in agronomy. These models can be used to predict the behavior of agricultural systems and evaluate the effects of changes in input variables. In addition, visual analysis with software tools is another important technique in problem-solving in agronomic engineering since graphs and visualizations can help identify patterns and relationships between variables that are not evident in the raw data. This book presents the usefulness and relevance of mathematical modeling and technology in agronomic engineering. It is organized to address the contents so that a good level of learning is obtained, and real practical examples and basic fundamental problems from experience are included. The agricultural area and various investigations with proposals for solutions to problems in a practical way through the use of mathematical models applied with elementary functions and software as support for the analysis of the results showing the importance of the application of ICTs for decision making. It also mentions some of the models frequently used in agricultural work and the way to apply mathematical models developed in previous research to promote interest and research in agronomy.
