ÉTICA Y HUMANISMO EN LA FORMACIÓN MÉDICA

Abstract

The claim to emphasize the ethical and humanist axis in XXI century medical training relies not only repeated observation inappropriate professional behaviors of practicing physicians, but also inequalities in the health care system that frequently violate rights of patients and generate claims of society. A serious effort to improve ethical and humanistic quality of medical training must be inserted into an adequate theory of moral development of man and from a critical reflection on the assumptions that support such training, the teachers that taught and procedures and scenarios used for that purpose.
