Abstract
Reviews the book, Teaching Deaf Learners: Psychological and Developmental Foundations by H. Knoors and M. Marschark (2014). This book focus on teaching deaf learners that included the theoretical foundations and empirical findings about factors underlying deaf learners’ outcomes. In addition, the book needed to be accessible and useful for (future) teachers of the deaf. The result is a book that provides an extensive and comprehensive overview of the environmental, language, cognitive, and social factors that affect learning. The authors succeed in meeting their goal of writing a book on teaching deaf learners that includes a broad and unbiased overview of the factors affecting deaf students’ learning process.
