Green and efficient synthesis of 1,2-bis(2H-benzo[e][1,3]oxazin-3(4H)-yl)ethanes and 1,2-bis(2H-benzo[e][1,3]thiazin-3(4H)-yl)ethanes

Abstract

An environmental friendly procedure for synthesis of 1,2-bis(2H-benzo{[}e]{[}1,3]oxazin-3(4H)-yl)ethanes and 1,2-bis(2H-benzo{[}e]{[}1,3]thizin-3(4H)-yl)ethanes is reported using water as solvent. A comparative study between a conventional and a microwave method is also reported. {[}GRAPHICS] .
