Abstract
ABSTRACT Monitoring of body weight and weight gain for toddlers has an effect on the growth status of toddlers which can be monitored through posyandu activities. Based on a preliminary study in Jaya Raga Village, data on the coverage of D/S Indicators in posyandu activities was 74.7%, but based on data, the coverage of N/S Indicators for children under five was only 36%. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between monitoring weight through posyandu with weight gain in Jayaraga Village. This study uses secondary data from the Posyandu Information System (SIP) book report from July to December 2020 in Jayaraga Village. The research uses quantitative methods that are correlation analytic. The population in this study was 497 toddlers in Jayaraga Village. Data were analyzed using chi square correlation test. The results showed that there were 62.8% of children under five who did weight monitoring through the posyandu, 37.2% who did not do weight monitoring through the posyandu. The results of the study also showed that 60% of under-fives experienced weight gain, and 40% of under-fives who did not gain weight. Based on the correlation test, there is a relationship between monitoring body weight and weight gain of toddlers in Jayaraga Village with a p value of 0.00 < α (0,05) serta didapatkan Odds Rasio 3,5 maka balita yang melakukan monitoring berat badan ke posyandu memiliki peluang untuk mengalami kenaikan berat badan 3 kali dari pada yang tidak melakukan monitoring berat badan melalui posyandu.
