Abstract

Besides inhibiting RecA activity at the protein level, Deinococcus radiodurans RecX can suppress RecA induction at the transcriptional level. The regulation of RecX on recA induction is independent of RecA activity, and its N terminus is involved in this process. Copyright © 2010, American Society for Microbiology. All Rights Reserved.
