Abstract

Rivulus is a cryptic, solitary cyprinodont indigenous to mangrove swamps of the new world tropics, first reported from Florida. An important microhabitat for this fish is the burrow of the great land crab Cardisoma quanhumi; relatively high population levels can be found within a single burrow. This microhabitat may have important implications in the evolution of the reproductive behavior. -from Author
