Abstract
Baitul Maal wa Tamwil (BMT) is an Islamic Microfinance Institution that serves two primary purposes: collecting and disbursing zakat, infaq, alms, and waqf monies; and enabling productive economic empowerment by offering financial services in accordance with sharia principles. Its presence in society has a big effect on the local economy, particularly in the microeconomic area. In order for business professionals to grasp their rights and duties and to develop their character and behavior, one of the organizations that plays a part in putting sharia-based procedures into effect is Baitul Maal wat Tamwil (BMT). BMT is founded on the norms found in the Al-Qur'an and Hadith. Fair, reasonable, healthy, and progressive business operations (which are ensured by legal certainty).
