Abstract

This research refers to the impact on the social environment of the subjects affected by the Transparency Law of Paraguay. The research consists of the analysis of the results of the application of two instruments, on the one hand, a survey of applied to 387 subjects and; on the other, a semi-structured questionnaire applied to 12 key informants, referents of the academy and the public service. The results of the research highlight the interesting level of knowledge that the population has about the existence of the law and its contents, the experts' vision of the important contribution that the Law has made to the improvement of transparency, accountability and Democratization in general. It also highlights the need to train people so that they can make effective use of the tools provided by the Law and the need to have civil society articulations for the analysis of the information made available by state agencies and entities.
