Abstract

This article presents the design and implementation of a project for the promotion of physical activity in Primary Education students from the area of Physical Education. Currently, one of the main problems that we find in society is the increase in sedentary lifestyle, as well as the appearance of chronic diseases from an early age. Also, due to the epidemiological situation, schools were forced to reduce and even eliminate the participation of families in activities within the school. To which is added the great difficulties of family conciliation to be able to carry out activities with their sons and daughters. That is why, understanding the participation of families as a fundamental element in the learning and development of students, PequeAprendices is proposed, a project where Service-Learning is used as a methodological axis. Gamification and the proposal of challenges are incorporated, as a motivating vehicle for the students, involving them and their families in a social commitment initiative where the practice of physical activity is encouraged to promote physical activity, health, and the scope of a greater quality of life.
