Abstract

The article provides a summary of a study that was conducted to measure the effects of digitalization on the manufacturing sector of the economy. The study utilized statistical data on output and production factors from various regional manufacturers in Russia to create mathematical and computer models. These models were used to evaluate and forecast the benefits of digitalization. Through dynamic simulation modeling, it became possible to not only monitor the current state of digitalization in the industrial sector, but also to test various transformation scenarios and support strategic decisions by regional and federal authorities. The study's findings suggest that digitalization has a positive impact on the manufacturing sector, particularly in terms of productivity and efficiency. The models developed in the study can be used to identify areas where digitalization can be implemented to achieve the greatest benefits. This information can be used to guide policies and investments aimed at promoting digitalization in the manufacturing sector.
