Abstract

By emphasizing on the progressive rationalization of the territorial sport policies, the uni- versity research submit a call for the submission of monographs which empirically report such poli- cies. The town Merignac (one of the main town of the urban area of Bordeaux), as the frame of analy- sis, this contribution seeks to complete the existing works. More precisely, this study looks into the relations, on the one hand, between towns and sport associations, and on the other hand, between the community and schools (primary school and middle school) for the conditions of Physical Education. practices. The testimonies of actors provide some interesting information regarding the rationalization of the managed sport policies. In many points, this rationalization still seems to construct notably from the point of view of sports animation. Besides, this study aspires to establish a possible pattern of observation and assessment of sports policies of the towns with demographic equivalent importance in order to compare and afterward to generalize the obtained tendencies.
