Abstract

The competition between Eurotunnel and the cross-channel ferry operators is discussed. Despite its financial problems and numerous start-up delays, the port industry cannot afford complacency in the face of its increasing freight capacity. The rail freight market for Eurotunnel and its impact on the channel ports are examined. (P.M. Taylor)
