Abstract

The article looks back on the online workshop “Gender-sensitive indexing”, in which different perspectives of gender equality in content indexing were discussed in May 2022: on the basis of fundamental linguistic and librarianship issues, the Integrated Authority File (GND) and its rules for design and application were examined from a gender-specific perspective, as were feminist vocabularies and gender aspects in librarian training and further education. The event was intended as a kick-off; the report includes a call for further joint activities.
