Abstract
Objective: The present study aims to develop normative data for the TTCT Figural Form-A and Form-B in school-age children, to employ the instrument for diagnostic purposes and in educational settings. Method: To this end, we conducted two empirical studies. In study 1, the Figural TTCT-Form A was administered to 859 school children of both sexes, between 8 and 13 years old. In Study 2, the Figural TTCT-Form B was administered to 739 children of both sexes aged 6 to 13 years. For both studies, MANOVA was performed to analyze the effect of age, sex, and their interaction. Results: Studies 1 and 2 showed a significant effect of age and sex, but not for the interaction between age x sex on TTCT scores. Normative values were computed according to sex and age. Conclusion: Our normative data for the Figural TTCT-Form A and B, which were established for the first time for Argentinean children, can be useful for the assessment of creativity and the recognition of creative abilities in students.
