Abstract

Objetive: To evaluate the quality of life of patients with the National Health Strategy for Prevention and Control of Tuberculosis (ESNPYC-TB) in the health services of Chiclayo 2017 members. Material and Methods: It is a descriptive, cross-sectional study where The Short Form 36 questionnaire (SF – 36), was used to interview 60 patients who visit each health facility in the months of August - October of the year 2017. Results: By means of the calculation of quality of life, an average of 54.1 was obtained. In addition, it was found that the components of physical and mental health, achieved an average of 54.83 and 53.40 respectively. The dimensions were also calculated, being the most affected: body pain, social function and vitality. On the other hand, 41.7% of the patients considered that their current health is more or less the same as a year ago. Conclusions: Patients treated with ESNPYC-TB in health facilities belonging to the Chiclayo micro-network have a good quality of life, with the dimensions most affected by body pain and social
