Abstract

STIMULATE EARLY CHILDHOOD READING SKILL THROUGH FISHING GAME. This study aims to improve the reading skills of early childhood reading skills through stimulating activities with fishing game. It used classroom action research design. Before the action, reading ability of students is still very low and they tend to be passive in learning activities. Most children scored below 2, for a range of values 1-4 means that the child has not developed the ability to read. It is known in before, then further action is taken by using the media game, namely the fishing game. The result is the ability of children in group B in RA Masyitoh Gerjen to read increased. In the first cycle results obtained 18.18%, cycle II 30.76% and cycle III 84.61%. It can be concluded that Fishing Game improve the ability of students group B RA Masyitoh Gerjen Seyegan Sleman, Yogyakarta.
