Abstract

Objective: This work aimed to identify which are the main barriers that hinder the application of environmental sustainability in the logistics activities of the real estate construction in the city of Curitiba / PR. Methodology: A content analysis was carried out in the literature that allowed the elaboration of a questionnaire in which the barriers were investigated with specialists in the sector in the city of Curitiba / PR. Relevance: It is observed that civil construction has a great economic and social impact and a great growth trend is estimated in Brazil, especially concerning real estate construction, due to the demands of housing deficit. Also, civil construction is known to cause a significant negative environmental impact due to its productive and logistical activities, however, considering such aspects there are alternatives such as Reverse Logistics, Green Logistics, and Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM), but that is not usually applied by barriers that inhibit them. Results: After applying the proposed methodology, it was found that the main barriers to environmental sustainability are the lack of knowledge about sustainability, the lack of management indicators, and the lack of integration between members of the supply chain.
