Abstract

This list and the notes on each species have been compiled from a study of ponds at sewage treatment plants near Auckland City between 1962 and 1965. It is intended to serve as a guide to the types of phytoplankton found in this specialised habitat and as an addition to the List of Fresh‐Water Algae of New Zealand (Chapman et al 1957). Keys to the genera and selected species are given. © Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
